In the current economic climate, many people around the world are losing their jobs and facing tough times. Some even lose a grasp on reality and do not go out an attack the problem they are facing. One of the major problem for people who have been made redundant is how to make some extra money to help tide you over until you find another job

You might be surprised to know that there are many options for you when it comes to making some immediate money. As it is likely that money is tight for you just now, I’ve only listed ideas that are free or very cheap. If you are looking at a business opportunity that costs money or requires advertising expenses, be very careful to set yourself a monthly budget that you can afford.

1. Selling items on EBay is a good quick way to raise extra money.

More items are bought and sold on eBay than any other place in the world. You can create a free account and quickly be selling items through auctions on eBay. Before you sell an item have a look at the sort of things that people are selling - you’ll be amazed at what is in demand!

2. Another way to make money from things that you don’t need or want is by hosting a garage sale.

The odds are you have several things in your home right now that you no longer use and could make money selling. You could promote your garage sale by placing signs out where people see them or running inexpensive ads in your local newspaper. This could bring in several hundred dollars for you depending on how much you have available to sell. Convert Your Trash into Cash.

3. Participate in some Free Paid Surveys.

There are many companies who will pay you cash for completing surveys and it is possible to do this without paying a cent. The best plan is to register for as many companies as they can and fill out screener questionaires. This will give you a better chance of being chosen for Free Paid Surveys or a focus group.

4. Is there something that you are talented at or have experience doing?

If so, how about offering a service online? Examples of a service could include proof reading, writing short articles, website graphics/design or admin work (as a virtual assistant). Many online forums such as the Warrior Forum have a place where you can offer services for a fee.

5. Consider joining a free business opportunity or affiliate program.

Choose one that will provide you with training and allow you to earn commissions from selling products or referring other people without the need to pay a monthly fee. One example of a free business opportunity is SFI.
